An Impuls for Your Own Muscletest: What If We Turned the Question Around?

When we use muscle testing to work on ourselves, we often ask: How do I feel about my work? How satisfied am I with my relationship? How do I feel in my home? We might test the answer on a scale from 0 to 10 and then look at which energetic blocks or themes come up for us.Recently, however, something became clear to me again in my own work: What happens if we turn the question around?
✨ So instead of only asking, “How do I feel about my work?”, we might ask: “How does my work feel about me?”
✨ Instead of only asking, “How do I feel in my home?”, we might ask: “How does my home feel about me?”
✨ And instead of only asking, “How do I feel about my relationship?”, we might ask: “How does my relationship feel about me?”
Working with the energetic representation of an area of your life
In my energy work, I work with the idea that we can explore not only our own emotions and beliefs, but also the energetic representation of different areas of our lives. This could be a house or apartment, a plant, a relationship, our work, money, or even something such as social media.
And yes, this is where it becomes a little unusual. :-) But this perspective recently led to a rather big aha moment for me.
For quite some time, I have been trying to show myself and my energy work more openly. I personally enjoy Pinterest much more than Instagram, but even there, I continue to meet my own themes around visibility and the question of what I want to share and how I want to share it. Of course, I had already worked energetically on my own relationship with Pinterest. At some point, however, I had the idea to simply turn the question around: How happy is my Pinterest with me?
This was a surprisingly powerful aha moment for me. Instead of looking once again at the themes I had around Pinterest, I began exploring what came up when I placed Pinterest itself at the centre of my energetic work. What was especially interesting was that I did not suddenly change everything on the outside. I had already been creating my small daily pins with messages from the Beings of Light. But after working with several energetic themes that came up in connection with my Pinterest, my perception of it began to change. 😊 Suddenly, I felt much more able to sense what my Pinterest wanted from me, what wanted to be shared there, what felt aligned with me, and what did not. Something appeared in my thoughts and feelings that had been missing before: a much clearer sense of how I wanted to continue with Pinterest and how I could carry a little more of my light into the world through this platform. 💛
At the same time, things also began to move on the outside. My views increased noticeably within a relatively short period, and since then, I have also had the impression that my pins are being saved more often. Of course, I cannot say whether these developments were connected to my energy work. What I could feel very clearly, however, was that my own relationship with Pinterest had changed. Since then, I have had a much clearer sense of what feels right for my Pinterest than I did before.
If you would like to get to know my Pinterest, you can find it here. I share small daily messages and exercises from the Akashic Records and the Beings of Light, as well as ideas and prompts for your own muscle testing.
And then I asked my work …
A second experience with this perspective touched me deeply as well. As many of you know, I do not work only as an energy practitioner. I am also a trained social worker and work in a residential home for people with disabilities. Many years ago, I reduced my hours there so that I could create space in my life for my energy work and my sessions.
It is important to me to say that I have never approached my work at the residential home half-heartedly. Quite the opposite. 😊 I am someone who tends to give a great deal, take responsibility, and often do more than is actually required. I know that I do my work well and that I am also seen as a very good employee. I love the people I work with there, and when I am there, I am fully present. That is exactly why the result surprised me when, mostly out of curiosity and experimentation, I tested: How satisfied is my work at the residential home with me? Even though I knew how much I gave to this work, my muscle test suggested that, somehow, it was not entirely satisfied with me.
As I continued to explore this, what emerged did not feel like, “You are not doing your job well enough.” Instead, I began to sense more subtly how the place I gave this work in my life might be perceived through its energetic representation. I had the impression that it did not feel as though I placed it first in my life, while at the same time, it seemed to hold the expectation that it should come first. In many ways, this made perfect sense. I had consciously reduced my hours to create more room for my energy work. Not because I do not value my work at the residential home or because I want to give less when I am there, but because my energy work is also an incredibly important part of my life. I feel that I have a great deal to offer through this work and that this part of me needs enough space in my life to be fully lived.
This time, I did not return to working on myself, trying to give even more, or attempting to change my attitude. I had already done plenty of that over the years. 😊 Instead, I stayed with this different perspective and worked with what appeared to me through the energetic representation of my work. Afterwards, something changed that is difficult to express in numbers. The underlying feeling of “You do not consider me important enough” was no longer so present. In its place, I sensed something very different: joy in what I bring to this work when I am there, and appreciation for the energy, attention, and goodness I contribute.Interestingly, I also experienced some interactions with my colleagues differently afterwards. I felt more accepted, more included, and more appreciated. Of course, I cannot say that my energy work caused or changed the behaviour of other people. But my own experience of my work and my environment had clearly shifted.
That is exactly what I find so fascinating about this perspective. I did not have to work on myself even more. I did not have to give more or achieve more. Something new became possible for me only when I turned the question around. Instead of asking only how I felt about my work, I asked how, within my energetic perception, my work felt about me.
Try asking the question the other way around
This is the small idea I would like to offer you for your own energy work. The next time you work with a particular area of your life, do not ask only, “How do I feel about this?” If this kind of energetic exploration feels right for you, try asking: “How does this area of my life feel about me?”
You can use your muscle test and begin by testing the answer on a scale from 0 to 10. You can then continue by asking which energetic themes arise for you in connection with this area. It might be your home, your work, your relationship, your business, your finances, or a completely different part of your life.
Perhaps something entirely unexpected will emerge. Perhaps only your perspective will change. Or perhaps you will discover a level that you have never considered before. That is one of the things I love so much about energy work: Sometimes, it is not the next complicated method that helps us see something new. Sometimes, all it takes is a question we have never asked before. 💛
If you would like to try it yourself
I have created a small muscle testing chart that you can use to explore this exercise for yourself.

And if you notice that you would like to look more deeply at a particular theme, or you are unsure how to continue on your own, we can also explore together in a one-to-one session which energetic themes come up for you. 💛
Would yo like to go a little deeper?
Sometimes, what changes the way we work with muscle testing is not a new method, but a question or approach, we haven’t tried before.
In my newsletter, I share more insights from my work with muscle testing, the Emotion Code, Body Code, Belief Code, and the Akashic Records. You’ll also receive reflections, exercise, and inspiration to support you in your own energy work.
Please note: In this article, I describe my personal approach and my own experiences with energy work and muscle testing.
